Andrew Cooper is an archaeologist with ten years of professional experience. He has been included on the list of Victorian Heritage Advisers since 2007. In that time, he has worked on a wide range of projects in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Western Australia and the Australian Capital Territory. Andrew has broad expertise in all facets of cultural heritage management including; site identification and recording, stone artefact analysis, site card and report preparation, data management, geographical information systems and archaeological survey and excavation techniques. He has extensive experience in engaging with and working cooperatively with Aboriginal communities and has a good understanding of the cultural, social and economic issues which affect Aboriginal communities. Andrew holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in archaeology from the Australian National University in Canberra (2006). He is currently completing a PhD thesis on Late Holocene Mobility in the Pilbara at the University of Western Australia. Andrew has been a member of the Australian Archaeological Association since 2003.
